Virgin Group CEO and entrepreneur Richard Branson has invested in mobile payments startup Clinkle, the company announced on Thursday.
As cnet notes, Clinkle has still yet to reveal its product or platform, although it’s already raised $25 million from its initial round of funding in June. However, Clinkle has launched a college waitlist campaign and more than 100,000 students have currently signed up for its services.
Branson will also be serving as an advisor to Clinkle CEO Lucas Duplan. Financial details of the funding have not been released.
