    The answers were surprising.  While almost no one who answered our call for answers thought Square should settle down with either Google or Apple, commonly reported as the two main front-runners for a Square acquisition, a surprising number of readers threw Chase Paymentech’s hat into the ring as the best possible suitor for Square.

    Still, in the race for Square’s affections, most of our readers agreed that Square should make like a runaway bride, drop the suitors entirely and go it alone.  Why they thought, well that might just surprise you.
