Bango Raises $4.7M, Announces Partnerships with Microsoft, Google

Bango, the mobile payment facilitator based in London, raised £3 million ($4.7 million) through a private placement with institutional investors, and provided updates on its relationships with several key payments players this week.

    For one, Bango has a contract with Microsoft for the provision of payment services, although that relationship is in “a very early stage,” a release notes. Earlier this month, MasterCard identified Bango as a technology partner for its PayPass mobile wallet platform. And relationships with Facebook and Amazon continue to be nurtured, the company says.
