Barclays Subsidiary Launches South African Square Clone

Absa, a subsidiary of Barclays, has partnered with a local payment company thumbzup, to debut a Square clone in South Africa. Businesses there can now accept debit or credit card payments using smartphones or tablets through a plug-in device called The Absa Payment Pebble.
