Home Depot Acquires Pricing Analytics Startup BlackLocus

BlackLocus, an Austin, Texas based startup that builds technology that helps retailers make data-driven pricing decisions, has been acquired by home improvement retail giant Home Depot, TechCrunched reported. Details on how much Home Depot paid for the company have not been disclosed.

“Our vision has always been to allow retailers to extract value out of the vast, and ever growing, amount of information that exists today,” BlackLocus said in a blog post. “The merger will allow us to continue pursuing our vision for, and with the support of, one of the largest retailers in the world. BlackLocus is now The Home Depot’s Innovation Lab in Austin, TX!”
