Amazon Challenges Apple With MP3 Web Store

Amazon has released a new mobile web store for its library of MP3 tracks that aims to challenge Apple by catering specifically to iPhone and iPod touch users, reports VentureBeat.

    Amazon owns 22 million MP3 tracks and is selling some songs for as low as 69 cents and some albums for as low as $5, undercutting Apple’s price. Anything purchased through Amazon’s new mobile store won’t come with the 30 percent fee Apple charges for its iOS app transactions.
