Bulgaria Completes First Steps For mPayments On Metro

Vivacom and Cellum Bulgaria recently created a joint presentation of new purchasing technology for Bulgaria’s subway system, reported Finextra. The technology includes an eTicket service that is facilitated through mobile phones. The mobile solution will run on QR codes, and may be introduced within the next seven-to-12 months, if accepted.

    Stoyan Bratoyev, CEO of Sofia Metropolitan, believes that the initial stages of the potential solution are complete. He agrees that the technical solution has proven reliable and effective, which indicates a positive step forward.
