Delta Equips Flight Attendants With mPOS

Nineteen-thousand Delta flight attendants will receive mobile point-of-sale (mPOS) devices as part of a new initiative from the airline to boost in-flight customer service, Mobile Commerce Daily reported on August 23.

The program was previously in testing, but is now rolling out on a larger scale to include 820 phones.

“Delta’s flight crews are a highly mobile workforce, so it makes sense for us to focus on mobile devices to provide them with the tools they need to provide great customer service,” Trebor Banstetter, a spokesman for Delta, told the media outlet.
