Fiserv: Mobile Bill Payment Triples Over Two-Year Period

In its latest Biller Mobile Bill Pay Benchmark Study, Fiserv released new data gleaned from its biller direct solutions and MyCheckFree website. The report found that a change is occurring not only in how many Americans are meeting their monthly payment obligations, but also in how billers are responding to increased demand.

    According to the release, the number of mobile bill payments the company processed rose to 15 percent this May, up from the 4 percent observed two years earlier.

    Overall, the report found that more billers – 94 percent – are turning to mobile for their customer service needs, while 82 percent and 76 percent are increasing paperless billing and improving customer usage of self-service through mobile, respectively.
