Germany’s HFT Regulation Plans Criticized

The German government is taking steps towards tightening rules around high-frequency trading. The parliament’s finance committee will have a hearing on the draft law soon amid criticism by high-frequency traders and exchange operators. Despite the criticism the FIA European Principal Traders Association has backed the law and the European Commission is in the process of drafting its own regulation on HFT too.
