NTT Docomo, Visa Unveil Virtual Prepaid Card

Japan-based mobile telecommunications giant NTT Docomo and Visa Japan unveiled the country’s first mobile-based virtual prepaid card service on September 18, a press release indicated.

    Called Kouza Visa Prepaid, the service combines the spending control limits of prepaid services with the convenience of credit cards, according to the release. The offering is aimed at Japanese online shoppers, who will be able to use the card wherever Visa is accepted.
