To Encourage Mobile, Alipay Charges Desktop Users

In a bid to push more of its customers to use mobile platforms, Alipay, an online payments services provider owned by Alibaba Group, has discontinued its free payment service for desktop computer users, The Paypers reported on December 5.

    Mobile users of Alipay will continue to receive free payments services, however, desktop users must now pay 0.1 percent for every transaction, with a ceiling of $1.63.
