UAE Central Bank To Launch eWallet In 2015

The Central Bank of the UAE has announced that it will be teaming with Emirates Indentity Authority to launch a eWallet service in 2015. This service will allow UAE residents to use their national ID cards to carry out payments online or at the point of sale. The Central Bank has predicted that 3% of transaction in the UAE will be perfomed through the eWallet in 2015.
