Visa Sees Jump In Credit, Cross-Border Payments

Visa released data concerning the first two months of 2013 yesterday, revealing that credit, cross-border and payments volume all grew on a year-over-year basis. According to the data, U.S. aggregate payments increased 3 percent from January 1 through February 28, while U.S. credit payments volume jumped 11 percent. Visa’s cross-border volume growth increased by 10 percent, while processed transaction growth increased 4 percent.

The one negative in the report came from Visa’s debit payments volume, which declined by 3 percent. Visa finished the day Wednesday at $159.37 per share for a -0.27 percent drop on the day.
