African Money Transfers Add Mobile Option

BNP Paribas and Orange signed a partnership to allow its African customers to transfer money between bank accounts and mobiles. The project, which will begin in Côte d’Ivoire, will enable BNP customers to use m-payments to buy goods and services, pay utility bills and purchase airtime credit.

    In turn, Orange increases the number of cash withdrawal points for customers, particularly in more remote areas and gives its users access to savings accounts and international bank cards.
