Apple Opens Store On Alibaba’s Tmall Marketplace

    Though Apple already operates 10 stores in four Chinese cities and has its own site in that country, Tmall provides the company a major new channel and various new marketing tools, TechCrunch reports.

    Apple now has access to social networking tools that Alibaba created through a strategic partnership with Sina Weibo, a microblogging platform with 50 million activate users.

    The two companies launched Weibo Payment, which helps users to engage in a social shopping experience, according to TechCrunch.
