Ninjacart Launches Import-Export Platform for GCC

Ninjacart, an Indian AgriTech startup backed by Walmart and Tiger Global, has expanded by launching the Ninja Global platform for agricultural import-export businesses in the United Arab Emirates and Gulf Corporation Council (GCC) countries.

The goal of the platform is to bolster the import-export market for agriculture commodities between the UAE and India, according to a Monday (Sept. 19) press release. A launch event took place in Dubai Saturday (Sept. 17) and was attended by more than 150 exporters and importers from that city.

The Ninja Global platform will assist users in developing a digital identity by registering their company on the platform and showcasing their business to potential customers and suppliers. The platform verifies and authenticates businesses to help create trust between trade partners, the release stated.

Ninja Global’s services and features includes Ninja Secure Trade (NST), which provides payment and quality assurance services, and Credibility Journey, which provides businesses with various trust badges based on information provided by sellers and buyers, according to the release.

The platform also integrates features to help businesses create virtual storefronts and product catalogs, as well as tools for managing logistics. The app is currently used by more than 5,000 importers and exporters across over 24 countries, the release stated.

The agricultural business is ripe for digitization and around the world, and the marketplace model is transforming the way importers and exporters trade important agricultural supplies.
