This capability is enabled by GigSafe’s adoption of U.S. Bank’s embedded payment solutions, which allow payments to occur seamlessly within the company’s existing platform, U.S. Bank said in a Tuesday (June 23) press release.
The industries that use the company’s platform include medical courier, pharmaceutical and clinical trial transport, according to the release.
One of the features delivered by the new integration is push-to-card functionality, which will allow GigSafe’s customers to deliver payouts directly to drivers’ eligible cards, per the release.
“The companies we serve operate in high-stakes, regulated environments where contractor compliance is not optional — and neither are reliable payments,” GigSafe CEO and Founder David Pickerell said in the release. “Working with U.S. Bank allows us to close the loop: we manage compliance, they provide the banking infrastructure, and our customers benefit from a single platform that does everything.”
The PYMNTS Intelligence report “FinTechs Tap Embedded Payments to Deepen Customer Relationships“ found that most FinTechs say embedded finance improves customer experience and trust, helps reduce churn and helps increase revenue.
GigSafe will use a for-benefit-of (FBO) account structure from U.S. Bank that enables companies to scale instant pay programs without directly managing funds, according to the company’s press release.
U.S. Bank’s embedded payment solutions support a broad range of payment types, including instant payments, while allowing companies to retain ownership of the end-user experience, per the release.
“For today’s delivery workforce, getting paid instantly is an expectation,” Joe Voica, head of embedded payments at U.S. Bank, said in the release. “By embedding instant payment capabilities directly into GigSafe’s platform, we’re helping delivery companies pay drivers immediately after work is completed, while maintaining the security, compliance and financial controls that come with a bank-led solution.”
The PYMNTS Intelligence report “Instant Payments: A Strategic Tool for Vendor Relationships and Urgent Transactions” found that adopting instant payments can be a critical tool for fueling operational efficiency and retaining vendors.
U.S. Bank announced in June 2025 that it expanded its suite of embedded payment solutions to include an FBO solution for companies to move money on behalf of their clients.
