Google Wallet in Action

MasterCard, Google and Citibank have teamed up with Google to develop its Google Wallet, which the companies have been working on for nearly a year. Many experts think this might be the venture that ignites contactless payments into a full-on mPayments revolution.

“By the end of the month, we’ll have it live into the market,” said Chief Emerging Payments Officer Ed McLaughlin.

But for many, the notion of a digital wallet is still new.
