Visa Prepaid Accounts To Go Contactless In SingTel Union

SingTel and Visa have joined forces in Singapore and Australia to allow Visa mCash prepaid account holders to make payments at all global Visa payWave locations, a press release from SingTel revealed on August 1.

    The companies will work together to link Visa prepaid accounts to SingTel’s mCash by early 2014. This will allow mCash customers to make eCommerce purchases and complete NFC-enabled transactions.

    “This alliance with SingTel demonstrates Visa’s commitment to driving the evolution of mobile payment services in partnership with major multinational Mobile Network Operators in developed and emerging markets,” Ooi Huey Tyng, Visa’s regional Singapore manager, said in a release.
