Oh, right. That was like 10 years ago. What we meant was ‘have you seen the new PYMNTS Provider Ranking of Shopping Apps that is totally current and updated monthly?’

Seeing as we’re gathered here, let’s assume your answer is “yes.” In that case, let’s get down to it and see what’s transpired since we last checked in on these useful and tempting apps.

    The Top 5

It happened. What can you say? Amazon takes No. 1 after a long slog to the top of these charts.

Archrival Walmart is at No. 2 and down a spot. The indefatigable SHEIN app, which held No. 1 longer than anyone, is now seeing the view from No. 3. It’s a good spot.

The AliExpress app drops a spot to No. 4, while Nike does the same only at No. 5.

    The Top 10

Moving out of the Top 5 we encounter some big new names, namely the Target app at No. 6.

A tangle of a tie has formed as three brands — eBay, Etsy and Fetch Rewards — all shove into the No. 7 chart positions, all dropping from last month except Etsy.

At No. 8 we’ve got a gainer. It’s the OfferUp app rising two spots after recent holiday shopping.

Alibaba.com takes No. 9, and well done them: they didn’t chart last time around.

Taking us out there’s a tie for No. 10, and no, that’s not a British election joke.

Dropping two spots from last month is the Sam’s Club app, now joined at No. 10 by new entrant Nike SNKRS. Like the old TV commercial said, “It’s gotta be the shoes!”
