Across the globe, Sweden has arguably made the most progress of any country in minimizing its reliance on cash. And one of the world’s most popular Swedes is pleased with that progress: ABBA’s Bjoern Ulvaeus, who spoke to the Associated Press this week.
“I can’t see why we should be printing bank notes at all anymore,” Ulvaeus told the Associated Press. The comment earned him a designation by the AP as “a vocal proponent for a world without cash.”
