O2 Launches Mobile Wallet ― But NFC Comes Later

    P2P payments, barcode searches for online price comparison shopping, daily discounts from major retailers, debit card and cash onboarding, and a preloaded Visa prepaid card are the features Finextra says are available with O2’s new app today. As for NFC, the outlet says that capability is on its way “soon.”

    NFC World suggests eventual NFC capability could be launched in conjunction with Project Oscar, the Isis-like European joint venture that was recently delayed by an in-depth inquiry from the European Commission.
