Flattr, a micro-payments platform that lets consumers donate money to support the creators of their favorite content, has to rethink its ignition strategy, following a rejection notice from Apple.
Flattr’s donation collection platform works within iOS apps — something that’s expressly forbidden by Apple’s policies. Specifically, App Store Guideline 21.2 reads: “The collection of donations must be done via a web site in Safari or an SMS,” notes TechCrunch.
