    According to a recent study by Metaforic, 68 percent of non-financial app users say they’ve refrained from adopting such apps simply because of security-related fears.

    Turns out their reluctance is easily justifiable: 19 percent of financial app users either have personally suffered or know someone who has suffered from a security breach, and android malware is up over one thousand present from a year ago.

    Crazier still, although 54 percent of respondents said they’d be more inclined to adopt a mobile app with proof of stronger security, only 20 percent of app users installed anti-malware or anti-virus protection on their devices.
