Facebook Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg characterized Facebook mobile as “the most misunderstood” facet of his company amid release of the social networking giant’s Q3 earnings.
“I want to dispel this myth that Facebook can’t make money on mobile,” he said during the call on Tuesday. “This might have seemed true earlier this year because we hadn’t started trying yet.”

Facebook mobile already accounts for 14 percent of the company’s total ad revenue, and mobile users are nearly twice as likely to log into Facebook on any given day than are desktop users, notes Mashable.
Facebook’s third-quarter earnings finished a little head of Wall Street estimates at $0.12 earnings per share on $1.26 billion revenue.
