Obama Signs Cyber Security Executive Order

President Obama has signed an executive order aimed at strengthening the cyber security of “critical infrastructure,” the White House announced yesterday.

    The executive order tasks the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) with developing “a framework of cyber security practices,” and providing “guidance that is technology neutral” in order to help infrastructure protect itself. The Department of Homeland Security, Department of Energy and Sector Coordinating Councils will help to develop programs as well.
