Genesco Sues Visa In Data Breach Case

U.S. retailer Genesco is suing Visa over a 2010 data breaching case from which it lost around $17 million in penalties, reports Finextra.

    Genesco filed the complaint in Tennessee last week, alleging that Visa’s PCI security standard failings breached its contracts with acquiring banks. Genesco claims no account data was stolen from the data breaches, but was fined heavily by Fifth Third Bank and Wells Fargo.
