Virgin Atlantic Picks Semafone For Card Data Protection

Richard Branson’s airline Virgin Atlantic Airways has picked UK payment security technology company Semafone to protect the card data that its clients provider over the phone. The solution allows customers to pass on their card details by keying them into their keypad, without passing the information to the person on the other side of the line. The number is passed directly to the bank, which can check the card is valid, and processes the payment.
