Mozilla is working on a new common web API that will allow web apps to accept payments, reports TechCrunch.
Mozilla is working with payment vendors and the W3C standards body on the API, which should work with both desktop and web browsers. A new JavaScript API has been implemented into Mozilla’s Firefox OS for smartphones as a first stage in development.
