    That number comes from Javelin’s latest report, “2013 Retail POS Forecast: Mobile and Prepaid Opens New POSibillities,” as The Papyers notes. The study also found that retail POS accounted for $3.98 trillion in 2012 and is expected to hit $4.2 trillion by 2018.
