Online commerce giant Amazon has filed a patent with the US Patent Office for the creation of an “anonymous mobile payments system.”
The patent describes a “computer-implemented method of providing an anonymous mobile payment to enable transfer of an electronic payment between a provider and a recipient without an exchange of personal information between the provider and the recipient.”

Amazon has also announced that developers can now submit their Android apps for the Appstore in nearly 200 countries.
