Report: eBay To Launch Touchscreen Store With Kate Spade This Summer

Commerce giant eBay will launch a “pop up” shop with a touchscreen window at a retail location in New York this summer, according to TechCrunch. John Donahoe, eBay’s CEO, described the physical retail move at TechCrunch Disrupt NY on Tuesday, and TechCrunch believes the window will appear at a Kate Spade store.

    During his talk, Donahoe also emphasized eBay’s belief in the power of mobile, saying the company is on track to see $20 billion in mobile commerce this year.

    “We bet hard on mobile,” he said. “Mobile is clearly changing how consumers shop and pay.”
