Israeli Prepaid Cards Pegged For Strongest National Card Growth

Israel’s prepaid card industry is expected to see about a 5 percent growth by 2017, reports BankCreditNews.com. The Israel card industry is primarily controlled by three companies; Isracard, Leumi Card and Visa Cal. The country is home to only five foreign banks, which include HSBC, Barclays, BNP Paribas, State Bank of India and Citigroup. Between 2008 and 2012, the card market grew at a yearly rate of 6.55 percent. These figures indicated a growth of two million cards. Credit card circulation, with currently about six million users, is also expected to grow an estimated 3.65 percent by 2017.
