Royal Jordanian Airlines Begins Accepting PayPal Payments

Customers who are booking online flights for Royal Jordanian Airlines are now able to make payments using PayPal.

Royal Jordanian has signed an agreement with the payments company, allowing passengers flying to and from Jordan to book tickets online using PayPal’s payment option, reports Zawya.

The agreement with PayPal was completed to help give customers a wider range of payment options and reduce fraud payments online.

Zawya reports that Amer Hadidi, president and CEO at RJ, said, “As eCommerce grows in the region, we want to be able to offer the best solutions, to make it even easier and safer to make purchases online. And this is the expertise PayPal provides.”

Customers can book tickets on the RJ website, and once they have completed the payment they will be directed to a booking confirmation page and given the option to print their eTicket.

“Our customers really value the convenience Royal Jordanian provides on its Internet booking engine. We look forward to enhancing our IBE services on the RJ website, therefore we partnered with PayPal as part of our strategy to offer the best ticketing experience for our customers, thus giving them more payment options,” Hadidi commented.

RJ airlines encompass about 60 destinations across four continents. The PayPal option is available for RJ customers booking tickets from the Middle East, North Africa, Asian as well as North America.

“Royal Jordanian is a premium airline committed to offering quality service to its customers throughout the travel process, from making a booking until getting on board the aircraft. PayPal is delighted to play its part in making this process even smoother and more secure,” said Elisa Ghanem, managing director at PayPal Middle East and North Africa.

Customers booking online are given the option to pay for flights using credit cards, debit cards, account balances or buyer credit. If they choose to use the PayPal option they must register and create an account linked to a credit or debit account.

“This service allows people to spend money without sharing financial information, with the flexibility to pay using their account balances, bank accounts, credit cards or promotional financing. PayPal enables global commerce.” Ghanem said.
