Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D. Nev,) said that he will hold a vote to confirm CFPB Director Richard Cordray’s nomination this week, according to BankCreditNews.com.
“I’m going to make sure he’s going to have a vote next week, and then we’ll see what happens after that,” Reid said on May 15. “I’m looking at this very closely… We’re going to fill that job. Cordray is there now. He’s going to get a vote.”
Cordray’s initial reappointment to the position of director was ruled unconstitutional back in January.
