Fake Currency Dealers Busted In Ghana

Two people who were believed to be handling and distributing fake currency were arrested in Adentan, near Accra, Ghana, reports GhanaWeb. Kwesi Sarpond, 29, and Kweku Akosah, 23, were recently caught when they tried to pay for a sachet water from a trader with a fake GH¢50. Both men were immediately arrested and taken to the Adentan police station.

    The two suspects were also accused of paying for a pair of jeans earlier in the week with a fake bank note. When arrested, the men said they had received the fake currency from a man named, Kofi, but the police claimed no such man exists.
