RetailMeNot has applied for a $230 million initial public offering, according to a TechCrunch report.
The company – formerly branded as WhaleShark Media – claimed more than 450 million total visitors to its sits last year, and said it had contracts with more than 10,000 retailers last December. The company produced $144.7 million in revenues in 2012.

RetailMeNot has raised $300 million from Google Ventures, IVP, Austin Ventures, Norwest Venture Partners and Adam Street Partners, as TechCrunch noted.
