Report: UK Retailers Lack Tablet Commerce Options

According to Mobile Entertainment only eight percent of UK retailers have established tablet-friendly sites for consumers. This percentage is very low, especially compared to the 74 percent of top spending retailers that have developed smartphone-user sites. The new research comes from the Internet Advertising Bureau.

    The IAB researcher underscores the important need for retailers to create both mobile phone and tablet marketing strategies for consumers. It cited that nearly 75 percent of tablet users will use their device to buy something online every week. Moreover, these consumers also spend an average of 4.4 each week looking through retail sites on tablets.
