One-In-Five Europeans Use Mobile Phones To Book Holidays

One-in-five Europeans are booking their holidays on their mobile phone according to a new study by Tradedbouler Insight Unit per a Mobile Entertainment report. The study noted that more consumers are shopping for holidays on their phones because they are looking for the best possible deals.

    Instead of purchasing all-inclusive and all-in-one bookings, shoppers are choosing to book flights and hotels separately according to the best deal they can find. Only 40 percent of respondents said they wanted package deals, and 20 percent still want all-inclusive trips. Fifty-nine percent of Europeans book holidays on the phone through voucher and loyalty apps.

    “Holidaymakers now have unprecedented levels of information and offers at their fingertips and it’s driving a significant shift in how they research and book holidays,” stated Dan Cohen, regional director at Tradedoubler.
