Square Co-Founder Starts Fintech Accelerator

Jim McKelvey, co-founder of San Francisco-based mobile point of sale (mPOS) giant Square, has launched a financial services tech accelerator, Finextra reported on August 14.

    The St. Louis-based company plans to provide $100,000 in funding each year to eight different tech startups. The accelerator is backed with capital from the St. Louis Regional Chamber and Cultivation Capital.
