Identive Group, an identification, security and RFID industries company, announced it has been awarded with a contract to manage cashless payment services at the second largest football stadium in Berlin, Germany, reported the Wall Street Journal.
Identive will provide payments for the home games at club Hertha BSC in Olympiastadion Berlin, which seats of over 74,000 people.

“Cashless payment is a growing trend in the entertainment sector, as it allows venues to serve more customers more quickly and increase sales while reducing the cost of handling cash,” explained Sascha Busse, CEO of Identive’s payment solution subsidiary. “With the addition of Olympiastadion Berlin we now provide cashless payment solutions for the two largest stadiums in Germany as well as five more in the first and second domestic leagues.
