Underbanked Nigerians Yet To Adopt Mobile Money Services

The majority of Nigerians who make mobile money transfers have accounts that are connected with their banks instead of mobile money service companies, reported All Africa. These figures come from a survey conducted by the NOI Polls that aimed to understand the adoption of mobile money services in the country.

    The study shows that six-in-10 Nigerians (roughly 59 percent) do not know about mobile money services. Additionally, only 13 percent of consumers who are aware of said services actually use them.
