Fed, FBI To Meet With Bitcoin Foundation

The Bitcoin Foundation, a trade group dedicated to promoting and standardizing bitcoin, will meet with at least seven government agencies on Monday, The Wall Street Journal reported on August 25.

    Representatives from the Federal Reserve, Internal Revenue Service, Secret Service, Federal Bureau of Investigation Treasury Department, Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency will all reportedly attend a presentation by the group. Attendees will then be able to ask members of the Bitcoin Foundation questions about regulating and policing virtual currency.
