Dwolla, Iowa Strengthen Payments Collaboration

Iowans now can pay their fuel taxes and vehicle-registration fees online thanks to an expanded partnership between payments network Dwolla and the Iowa state government.

    Dwolla, which is based in Des Moines, previously worked with the state government to help merchants collect cigarette stamp taxes, according to The Des Moines Register.

    The move would be helpful for everyday Iowans, Paul Trombino III, Iowa Department of Transportation director, said in a statement.

    ”We think using Dwolla will reduce the number of errors and streamline the filing process for these transactions,” he remarked.
