To avoid a potentially lengthy legal battle, Apple has settled a dispute with the Federal Trade Commission over a problematic system for in-game mobile payments.
The controversy began when some parents reported that their children were able to make unauthorized payments while playing a mobile game. In some cases, parents received credit card bills for thousands of dollars.
