Circle Internet Financial has added a new member to its board of directors.
M. Michele Burns, whose appointment was announced in a Jan. 16 press release, serves as a senior executive at Marsh & McLennan. She will “play an integral role in helping Circle build a financial platform that can grow to service consumers and business operating at a global scale,” the company said.

Circle also announced the creation of a new executive advisory board. Michael Barrett, a former PayPal CISO, and Mike Hearn, who previously served as a senior security engineer for Google, are the first two members of the board.
