Visa’s CyberSource unit has formed a partnership with Thailand-based payment service provider Paysbuy.
CyberSource’s payment-tokenization service will be available to Paysbuy’s network of merchants. Tokenization promises more robust payment security and storage of customer data, the company said in a Jan. 17 press release.
“CyberSource believes that a robust payment-gateway platform, together with the ability to ensure payment security, provides a critical competitive edge for eCommerce players to sustain growth in the industry,” Chew Ann Wee, CyberSource regional sales director for Southeast Asia, said in a statement. “We are working with Paysbuy to ensure payments are secure, while providing an array of payment-acceptance options that they can extend to their merchant customers.”
