According to a recent AM NY article, the coin retailer has had the gold dispensing ATM at its storefront since 2012.

Store sales manager Andrew Bowers explained that only about three people use the ATM daily, but it has become quite the tourist attraction. Called “Gold to go,” consumers can withdraw gold and silver coins, as well as 1-ounce, 5-gram or 10-gram gold bars. The prices are dependent on the market values, and AM NY reported that one ounce of gold today is about $1,300.

The news source added that there is also a “Gold to go” machine in Las Vegas and one in Atlantic City.

Tribeca resident Gavin Zeigler told the news source that the ATM caught his eye, and he was considering getting some gold coins for his stepson.

“I actually should buy something,” Williams said. “Money is nothing. It’s always good to have something like this.”
