Amex: Little Impact From Target Breach

American Express says its customers experienced little adverse effects from the Target breach that affected more than 100 million cardholders from a variety of card brands.

    However, Amex decided to put in place fraud controls following the breach to protect potentially affected customers, Reuters reported on Jan. 16.

    The company did not indicate when the controls were activated or how long they will be in place. Federal investigators are still reporting tranches of credit card numbers being sold on digital black markets.
